The importance of energy-efficiency

Imagine saving 32% of your utility costs for heating and cooling.

That is the average savings realized by a homeowner after energy-efficient weatherization improvements are made through programs offered by Neighborhood Housing Services of Toledo.

By weatherizing your home you not only save on your utility costs, you also:

Increase the comfort level of your home;

Increase your home’s value;

Decrease the demand on energy supplies during peak seasons which directly relates to higher utility rates

Decrease the emissions of harmful chemicals that are created while producing power therefore reducing the amount of power that must be generated.
